I love to travel and I’ve traveled quite a bit over the years (to over fifteen countries!). Since having our three kids, such adventures hadn’t been possible for a long time. But early this Spring, we all got the chance to set off on an adventure to Costa Rica together. It was just what we needed- to explore again!
We traveled to five different locations around Costa Rica. We took a little SUV on bumpy dirt roads, through rivers, and to far off corners off the beaten path- from the mountains to the beaches.
I fell in love with the laid back beachy boho vibe, long salty hair, tribal jewelry, easy clothing and exotic prints.
The homes we stayed in were varied, but my favourite was a Bali styled home (pictured below), open to the mountain views, with lofty interiors, exotic woods and lush gardens.
The trip really re-ignited my love of travel, and the boho beachy styles that go along with oceanside living.

Light and Airy Spaces, Pops of Colour, Brass Accents
I am crushing over Amber Interiors and I follow her on Instagram. Her website and Instagram are filled with endless interior decor inspiration. Clean lines, and touches of global and boho style are signatures of her aesthetic.
I love the look of light walls with pops of saturated colour, like in the bathroom on the left, and the bedroom on the right. On the top right, the tiled walls and brass accents are clean and sleek. The hit of colour from the Persian rug makes this room a show stopper.
I’m updating lots of light fixtures in my home right now, and this chandelier from Lampcage in Toronto has that touch of brass that I’m craving. It’s at my place now, just waiting for installation day!
Beachy Boho Vibes, Tribal Jewels and Easy, Light Layers
This necklace by Arrow Divine really speaks to my love of tribal jewelry. It’s on its way to my mailbox! Such a great summer piece!
This is Eileen Fisher. I love her simple, chic style. Her line of clothing is so elegant and easy to wear, with interesting cuts that make the pieces stand out. The natural materials she uses, like linen and wools, are what I love to wear and what I use for textiles in my home.
